Big trucks, big fun: Monster Jam to rattle Jacksonville on Saturday
A dozen monster trucks, each weighing in at 12,000 pounds and powered by a 1,500-horsepower methanol-fueled engine, will create quite a roar Saturday night in Jacksonville when Monster Jam returns to EverBank Stadium.
The event is always popular in Jacksonville, thanks in part to fairly cheap seats and tons of action on the field. Here are some things you'll need to know about this year's Monster Jam.

That could be tricky because of all the other things going on in downtown Jacksonville at the same time (Cirque du Soleil at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Zach Williams at the Florida Theatre, the Jacksonville Symphony at Jacoby Symphony Hall and Mom Jeans at Underbelly). The stadium lots will be open but will fill quickly. Parking passes are sold through the stadium's website.
Will there be a pre-race Pit Party at Monster Jam in Jacksonville?
The Monster Jam Pit Party is a separately ticketed event that starts at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the stadium. Participants will be able to get up close to the trucks, meet the drivers, take photos and get autographs. Admission to the pit party is $20, but you must also have a ticket to the main event.
Can I meet the drivers at Monster Jam in Jacksonville?
You'll have two opportunities to meet the Monster Jam drivers. First is the pre-race Pit Party, which starts at 2:30 p.m. Pit Party passes are $20. There is also a post-race meet-and-greet event. Tickets for the meet and greet are $100. You must also have a ticket for the main Monster Jam in order to attend the pre- or post-race events.
What happens during Monster Jam in Jacksonville?
