The Big Stomp Music Festival announces its 2024 lineup. Here's what to expect
The Big Stomp, formerly known as PeteFest, will return to Louisville July 26-27. The expanded 2024 lineup includes BADBADNOTGOOD, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, The Black Angels, and Bully, plus more than 30 additional bands.
The nation’s first music festival focused on mental health, The Big Stomp Music Festival returns for its eighth year to Jones Fields, a scenic 90-acre nature preserve located adjacent to The Parkland’s Turkey Run Park.
The festival is an annual outreach event for The Pete Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to destigmatizing mental health and expanding access to mental health crisis intervention.
With three stages located atop a wooded hillside in southeastern Louisville, additional acts playing at The Big Stomp include Ben Sollee, Saxsquatch, the Biblehauser Brothers, Doom Gong, White Whooly, Lacey Guthrie and more.
“We know so many people love to come to The Big Stomp for the beauty of the venue, the good music, and the enlightening activations,” Molly Jones, COO of The Pete Foundation, said in a news release.
And for fanatics of techno, house, jungle, acid, trance, and electro, there won’t be a place within 250 miles of Louisville this aummer where you can hear all these sounds at once.

Big Stomp 2024 is Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27. Gates will open at 4 p.m. on Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Yes, camping at The Big Stomp is the best way to enjoy the full festival experience. In addition to shuttles and a convenient walking path to the event area, camping guests will enjoy a nightly bonfire and a complimentary breakfast bar. Guest camping can be added for $50 or $100 for RVs.
What's new this year at the Big Stomp music festival?
New this year in the camping village is Glamping offered by The Pop-Up BNB. Stay Friday and Saturday nights in a tent set up and waiting when you arrive. Choose from one or two queen airbeds, or a memory foam mattress with an elevated bed frame. All tents include bed(s), linens, floor rugs, décor, lighting, luggage rack, camp chairs and side table.

This festival is an immersive community experience that fosters a more open and thoughtful conversation around mental health. Merging entertainment and education, fans can enjoy two days of live music, local food, and beverage, plus have the opportunity to learn about healthy habits, practices, and mindfulness through activities including:
Open Doors Open Minds presented by Renewal by Andersen, festival goers will gain an understanding of the use of art therapy and sand therapy in the healing process.
Nutrition Nook, sponsored by Kroger with support from 80 Acres Farms, where festival goers will gain insight into growing leafy greens indoors and watch local chefs prepare nutritious foods to encourage a journey to eating with health in mind.
Love, Tito’s Coloring Wall, featuring a large wall for coloring as the music plays. The art will become an original image that will be reproduced as postcards for mailing in May 2025 as a part of Mental Health Month.
The If This Is You Saloon, a fun saloon-inspired space where you can enjoy a drink from the mocktail bar.
Equine Therapy will return offering experiences and information on the benefits of equine therapy.
