Big, popular breakfast chain looks to open 10 locations in the Nashville area

A breakfast and brunch chain with 170 locations open or under development, is targeting the Nashville area as part of its rapid expansion, according to a media release.

Eggs Up Grill, first opened in 1997 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, by founder Chris Skodras, will soon have 10 restaurants in the Nashville area, with the first coming to Hermitage in December.

The first Nashville-area location will be at 4606 Lebanon Parkway in Oakwood Commons, a Publix-anchored shopping center. The second location is slated for a spring opening in Murfreesboro.

Eggs Up Grill's all-day breakfast menu includes classic American dishes such as steak and eggs, made-to-order omelets and shrimp and grits. The restaurant also serves American lunch fare including burgers, melts and salads.

The restaurant expansion is a project from local franchise partners Dr. Ron and Amy Fausnaught, who also own two Crumbl Cookies stores in Hendersonville and Murfreesboro.

The 3,618 square-foot Hermitage location will have dining room seating for 125 and outdoor seating for 36. It will be open daily from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., for dine-in, takeout, catering and delivery.

Della Barber, a spokesperson for the company, could not give precise details about the other locations slated for the area.

"Eggs Up Grill’s Nashville development agreement includes all Nashville proper, Gallatin, Lebanon, Franklin, Murfreesboro and Spring Hill," she said.

The brand will build out the forthcoming restaurants over several years.

"Eggs Up Grill is always evaluating real estate options and ensuring the trade area is right for the business," Barber said. "We look for neighborhood and high-use centers in the site selection process."
