Ever since 2010, folks across the world have come to know Steve Harvey as the hilarious host who has transformed Family Feud into a must-watch game show. But it’s not only viewers who adore the 64-year-old TV star — even people who don’t watch the show are familiar with his iconic over-the-top reactions and expressive humor. And after hearing what Steve is working on next, we expect his fanbase to grow even more.
On November 29, ABC dropped a teaser for its newest series Judge Steve Harvey. Set to premiere on January 4 at 8 p.m., the new courtroom series will feature Steve, gavel in hand, as he judges everything from small claims to major disagreements.
Judging by the show's teaser, it's safe to say Steve’s signature reactions will be a big part of the show. In the span of just over a minute, Steve is seen wide-eyed and in shock over some of the cases. He even references sliding into DMs, so you know this show is going to be a hilariously good time.
Watching the teaser, Steve's fans immediately expressed how excited they are to tune in this January. "I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS NEW STEVE HARVEY SHOW!THIS IS GOING TO BE VERY AMUSING!," one Youtube user commented. Back to the show logistics, though. Although Steve isn’t actually a judge, he will be using his personal life experiences to determine the outcome of the disputes at hand in each episode.
“It’s always good to come to court when you can’t lose,” Steve says in the teaser. “In my courtroom, I speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I got a feeling I’m about to hear a whole lot of nonsense, though.”
