‘Big Little Lies’ Sets New TV Ratings Record Ahead of Final Episode

“Big Little Lies” is killing it in TV Ratings.

The HBO thriller just broke an internal TV Ratings record with its penultimate episode, drawing 1.4 million total viewers in Nielsen’s Live + Same Day numbers. That’s up about 20 percent from last week’s 1.17 million.

With streaming tune-in counted and some late replays, that sum for last night’s episode grew to a cool 2 million, per HBO.

The Jean-Marc Vallee series stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley and follows the mothers of first graders in Monterey, California. It is based on Liane Moriarty’s book of the same name.

The “Big Little Lies” series finale airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO.
