'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' Star Whitney Reveals She Got Engaged!
Whitney Way Thore has some huge celebrating to do because she's engaged! The star of TLC's "My Big Fat Fabulous Life" revealed on Tuesday that her boyfriend, Chase Severino popped the question while the two were on a trip to Paris, and her excitement and joy is absolutely adorable. The reality star was ramping up the big reveal, and over the last few days had promised some big news was coming on Tuesday.
"Sitting here just bursting with excitement over the news I get to share with you on Tuesday! Who’s as excited as me?" Whitney wrote on Instagram.

On Tuesday Whitney posted a photo of herself and Chase while holding up her rock and announcing the engagement to the world!
"Chase and I got engaged on October 9th in Paris and I’m quite possibly the happiest woman alive. It has been REAL hard to keep this a secret! Head to my stories for the @people exclusive! New season starts Tuesday, JANUARY 7 at 8/7c on @tlc. Can’t wait to share this with y’all!" she wrote on Instagram.
Whitney followed up that, "the ring is exactly what I wanted: yellow sapphire, diamonds, + white gold."
Chase also posted the shot on his own Instagram page and was equally excited for the big reveal.
"Soooo, something happened!!! Whitney and I are so excited to officially announce our engagement!! The best part is everyone can experience our wild ride from friendship to dating to falling in love because you can tune into My Big Fat Fabulous Life on your TVs!!" he proclaimed.

Whitney took a trip to France back in October and documented much of the activities on social media. She was also taping for "My Big Fat Fabulous Life" but obviously had not told fans her boyfriend proposed. Now we all know the proposal was caught on camera and it should make for a super emotional episode of the TLC reality series.
Whitney had been sharing many photos of her and Chase, and some fans thought she may have been keeping a secret when one of the shots expertly hid her hand underneath his jacket.
"Ok! I called the engagement in this picture!!! I said 'she's hiding a ring'" one fan commented on Instagram.
"Giiiirrllll that hand was hidden for a reason!" another teased.
"A third admitted, "Lol glad I'm not the only one that went back to see pictures and saw the hand hidden."
How They Met
It's unclear exactly when Whitney and Chase first hooked up, but they were introduced through mutual friends. They went public with their romance back in June when she posted photos of the two of them and captioned them "bae."
Chase returned the favor with a photo of the two during a trip to Lake Tahoe over Summer and wrote, "If you don’t know, now ya know." Although fans of "My Big Fat Fabulous Life" have not yet officially met Chase, they will no doubt see the evolution of their friendship and romance on the next season of the reality show.
Whitney can't wait either, and told PEOPLE, "We can't wait to see the new season and watch as we hang out for the first time, go on our first date, fall in love, and make life-changing plans in Paris. It has truly been a dream.”
The next season of "My Big Fat Fabulous Life" premieres Jan. 7 at 8 PM on TLC.
