‘Big Brother Reindeer Games’ To Premiere In December

This season of Big Brother has already stretched into November. Why not have the franchise do some more heavy lifting over the holidays?

During Thursday’s season 25 live finale, it was revealed that CBS will air Big Brother Reindeer Games, a new, two-week competition featuring a cast of BB legends.

Nine former houseguests, including some from season 25, will be injected into a so-called magical world to participate in the Reindeer Games. Over six holiday-themed episodes, three Santa’s Elves – Derek Xiao (from season 23), Tiffany Mitchell (season 23) and Jordan Lloyd (season 11 and 13) – will guide the BB legends through yuletide-themed competitions.

Each episode will features three games culminating in a “Santa’s Showdown” that determines which player goes home at the end of that episode. Note to diehard BB fans: No one lives in a house in this spinoff and there is no 24-hour social game play, so don’t go looking for live shows or feeds. Chenbot will be unplugged during this spinoff, as well, since the elves are operating as hosts.

Only four BB legends will make it to the finale and one player with the festive fortitude will walk away with the $100,000 grand prize. The cast will be announced closer to the airdate.

“Fly on The Wall is excited to bring a new competition series to the Big Brother Universe and get a chance to ring in the holidays with some of our most memorable houseguests,” said executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan in a joint statement.

Big Brother Reindeer Games will premiere Monday, Dec. 11 (8-10 PM) on CBS and will stream on Paramount+. The show is produced by Fly On The Wall Entertainment in association with Endemol Shine North America. Grodner, Meehan and Chris Roach serve as executive producers.
