‘Big Brother 25’s’ Felicia: ‘I never understood why’ Cirie and Jared betrayed me

The mustard seed’s power just ran out in the end. After surviving the block seven times on “Big Brother 25,” Felicia Cannon was evicted on Sunday in fourth place to become the sixth jury member after Jag cast the sole vote to evict. For a brief spell, it seemed like Jag would keep Felicia, the weaker competitor, over Matt, but he ultimately refused to betray his Minutemen and Mafia ally. And Felicia knew it.

“For whatever reason, it wasn’t meant for me to win and that’s why I was at peace. I knew I was leaving yesterday before the vote. I never even asked Jag had he made his final decision because I already knew,” she says in a pooled exit interview. “Every time I was up on that block, I knew if I was staying or going. I would get nervous, but I always knew I was staying. Yesterday, I knew probably within a couple hours of leaving that I was the one getting voted out and I was OK with that.”

The 63-year-old presented compelling arguments to Jag to keep her, including that Matt would probably win if he stayed. “If Jag would’ve just trusted what I was telling him because I was telling him the truth, I would be sitting in that finale on Thursday,” she says. “But he didn’t trust me.”

Over the season, Felicia lost and regained trust multiple times with Cirie, with whom she had a final two. But then she learned that Cirie wanted to keep Izzy over Felicia in Week 6 — because, as viewers know, Izzy knew Cirie and Jared were mother and son. Felicia calls that one of her most difficult moments in the game. “I think when I realized that Cirie and Jared had betrayed me … because I trusted them a lot. I never understood why,” she explains. “And I don’t know if it was because they thought I was playing a better game. I don’t know what it was. But when I realized they were the ones that were really sabotaging my game, I was really disappointed in that.”

While she’s still in the dark about Cirie and Jared’s relationship, it didn’t certainly didn’t help when Felicia revealed her final two with Cirie to Jared and then asked him to be in a final two. As she acknowledged in her post-eviction interview with Julie Chen Moonves, she was very loose-lipped. “I wish I hadn’t told Jared that me and Cirie were in a final two. That was probably the one I should’ve never opened up my mouth and said,” she says. “Everything else that I said, I’m OK with because I never told anybody a lie. I just revealed secrets when I thought it was an opportune time.”
