‘Big Brother 25’ episode 36 recap: Which 2 houseguests went home during shocking double eviction? [LIVE BLOG]

For the second time this season, two houseguests were about to be evicted on “Big Brother 25.” However, unlike the last double eviction, there would be no zombie comeback twist to save one of their games. The first person booted would be either America Lopez or Blue Kim, as they were both nominated by Head of Household Jag Bains. Following that ouster, we would see an entire week’s worth of gameplay, with an HOH comp, a nominations ceremony, a Veto challenge, a Veto meeting and a second eviction.

9:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the 35th episode, the Final 4 deal between Jag, Matt, Felicia and Cirie hit a snag when Felicia secretly told Jag that Cirie was betraying his trust regarding Blue being his real target. After Jag won the Humili-verse Veto competition, he had a tough choice to make. Would he keep his noms of America and Blue the same, or would be backdoor Cirie? Ultimately he decided not to use his power, meaning either America or Blue were about to be sent to the jury house.

9:02 p.m. – Though both nominees were told they’re pawns this week, only America was untrusting of that position and was poised to do what she can to stay in the house. Meanwhile, Cirie was laser-focused on saving Blue and if that wasn’t possible then she needed it to be a tie so that Jag would have to break the tie publicly. Felicia was wary of Cirie’s plan, seeing it as an opportunity for Cirie to angle herself in a better position and leaving Felicia out of her end game.

9:04 p.m. – After Cirie tried to get Felicia to help her save Blue, Felicia went to Jag to tell him that Cirie and Matt are discussing when the best time to take Jag out would be. Felicia’s motive was to prove her trust to Jag, but because Matt was involved Jag wasn’t immediately trusting of what Felicia was telling him. The truth is that Matt and Cirie did have a conversation about how powerful Jag is and that Matt knows eventually he needs to take a shot at him, and Cirie did relay that information to Felicia.

9:09 p.m. – Before the votes in the first eviction were cast, America and Blue had a chance to plead their case to the houseguests. America used her time to throw Jag under the bus (again) with a series of jokes about his “evil wrath.” Blue countered by telling everyone what an honor it was to play with them. The remaining four cast their votes to evict privately in the Diary Room: Matt for Blue, Bowie for Blue, Cirie for Blue, and Felicia for Blue.

9:14 p.m. – After the unanimous 4-0 vote, Blue told Julie that moments before the live show began she was told that she was the target and that ultimately she considered it might be the case because she was the original target last week, too. Blue also said that if she had stayed in the house, Blue was going to start targeting Jag and that he would have been in danger for the double eviction.

9:20 p.m. – For the Head of Household competition, everyone but Jag participated in “Triple Feature,” a seven round multiple choice quiz about a series of BB-themed movie posters. In round one, everyone got it wrong. In round two, everyone except Felicia got it correct. In round three, only Cirie got it correct. In round four, only Cirie and Bowie got it correct. In round five, only Matt and Felicia got it correct. In round six, only Matt and Bowie got it correct. In the final round, it was a three-way tie between Cirie, Matt and Bowie. In round seven, everyone except Cirie got it correct. With that, Matt and Bowie went to a tiebreaker where Matt went over so Bowie became the HOH.

9:32 p.m. – At the live Nomination Ceremony, Bowie nominated Felicia and America for eviction.

9:38 p.m. – With six players in the house, everyone got to compete for the Power of Veto. For the comp, had to search for four pieces of candy hidden in ball pits in order to fill a plastic tube first. Matt was the first to successfully drop a piece of his candy in his tube. Felicia got one in as well and then Matt got his second while other players kept missing the tube. Matt got his third and then Felicia got her second. Before anyone else could sink a candy, Matt got his fourth and won his second comp of the season.

9:42 p.m. – In the moments before Matt’s decision, America begged him to use the Veto on her because Bowie made a deal with Cirie, but when Matt talked to Bowie and Jag he told them that he’d be keeping noms the same.

9:46 p.m. – As promised to his allies, Matt decided to keep Bowie’s nominations the same, leaving Felicia and America in fire for the second eviction of the night.

9:51 p.m. – In her plea to stay, America got emotional and begged for them to keep her so that she could continue to play. Felicia said she is “trusting and believing” that they’ll keep her around. The three eligible voters went to the Diary Room to case their votes to evict: Cirie for America, Jag for America, and Matt for America.

9:54 p.m. – After another unanimous vote, America admitted to Julie that she had no chance of staying because she knew that Matt and Jag are a formidable pair that are likely looking at going to the final four with Cirie and Felicia. America said that “everyone is letting” Matt and Jag win because she’s “seen it over and over again” in past seasons and it makes her “so mad.” The upside is that she gets to go to the Jury House to be reunited with Cory.
