‘Big Brother 25’s’ Cameron: ‘I don’t regret putting so much faith in the Fugitives’

Cameron Hardin has been the winningest player on “Big Brother 25,” the most targeted and the most evicted. The stay-at-home dad was evicted unanimously for the second time on Thursday’s “Big Brother 25” to become the first member of the seven-person jury. After reentering the game in Week 9, he held all the power as the HOH and Veto winner and was thisclose to backdooring Cory, but was talked out of it by his fellow Fugitives, Matt and Jag, who were prioritizing their Minutemen final two. His loyalty to Matt and Jag would ultimately lead to his demise as the pair convinced Bowie Jane to backdoor Cam this week. But in a pooled exit interview, Cam says he has no regrets riding so hard with the Fugitives.

“I don’t regret putting so much faith in the Fugitives. It was part of the game,” he states (watch above). “You can look back and armchair quarterback this thing … and try to figure out what went wrong and where. But the decisions made at game time, I thought I was doing the right thing. I don’t know yet how invested Jag is with other pieces of the house, but I tried my best to do what I thought would keep the Fugitives together for another week. So, hindsight, if I were playing the game I was playing in the beginning of the game, I would’ve put Cory on the block and backdoored him my last week of HOH. But I did not want to ruffle the feathers with the Fugitives moving forward, so I would probably go back and change that. But then I wouldn’t be here talking to you guys. That’d be crazy.”

While Cam had no expectations he would survive this week — “I don’t think there was anything I could’ve done” — had he somehow stuck around, he would not have targeted Matt and Jag. In fact, he wants them to “go the distance.” But he would not have been accommodating like he was before.

“I would’ve burned Cory up, man,” he says. “I wanted to get him last week, but I was talked down by the Fugitives. Even if I were to remain in the game and still would’ve been part of the Fugitives, I wouldn’t even have asked. I would’ve been like, ‘Good night, buddy.'”
