The Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar stopped by Conan, where he talked about being mistaken for other successful actors of Indian and Pakistani descent, and it sounds like a fairly common thing. So common that he’s part of what he calls a “brown guys group text.” Even the queen of England mistook him for someone else.

“The queen has her hand out and I shake it and I’m like, ‘Hi, your majesty.’ And she says, ‘Nice to see you again.’ And I was like, ‘I’m not Dev Patel,’” said Nayyar.

Besides Patel, Nayyar has also been mistaken for Kumail Nanjiani from Silicon Valley; Aziz Ansari from Parks and Rec and Master of None; and Kal Penn from Harold and Kumar and Designated Survivor. But being mistaken for someone else isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Nayyar explained: “My friend just got recognized for me at U.S. Customs. They didn’t make him pay customs duty because the officer was a fan of the show.”
