Beyoncé’s country era has fans all over the globe itching for more, and thankfully, all the questions will be answered soon. The Houston native’s forthcoming Call Me Country: Beyoncé & Nashville’s Renaissance documentary is officially on the way, and the Bey Hive doesn’t have to wait too long for its arrival.

Via a press release, Max announced Call Me Country is slated to hit the streamer on Friday, April 26. The visual was produced by CNN FlashDocs and will “provide a look at the impact of high-profile acts like Beyoncé and Lil Nas X on the contemporary country music scene and how their contributions connect to the history of Black artists in Nashville.”

Per Billboard, the documentary will include analysis from many country music experts and cultural commentators, including Touré and co-directors of the Black Opry, Holly G. and Tanner D. Call Me Country will also boast interviews with Grammy-winning country duo Brothers Osborne, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” banjo player Rhiannon Giddens, Rissi Palmer, Aaron Vance, and Denitia.

Bey’s most recent album, COWBOY CARTER, made landfall on March 29, 2024. It housed a star-studded list of collaborators like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Post Malone, Shaboozey, Willie Jones, The-Dream, Raphael Saadiq, Pharrell Williams, and even her daughter, Rumi Carter.

Prior to its release, fans were able to indulge in two singles, “16 CARRIAGES” and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM.” The “Crazy In Love” singer made history as the first Black woman to top Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart. According to Billboard, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” garnered over “19.2 million official streams, 4.8 million in all-format airplay audience, and sold 39,000 in the US through February 15” as “16 CARRIAGES” brought in “10.3 million streams, 90,000 in radio reach and 14,000 sold.”

The 32-time Grammy award winner also shared an open letter ahead of the LP’s release, detailing how COWBOY CARTER “ain’t a Country album, this is a ‘Beyoncé’ album.” “I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound,” she wrote.
