Beyoncé reveals eye-popping artwork to promote new album ‘Renaissance’

Beyoncé is letting it all hang out with her new visuals for “Renaissance.”

The 28-time Grammy Award winner revealed artwork from her seventh studio album on Thursday.

The cover of “Renaissance” is a sensuous, near-nude photo of Beyoncé clad in a spiked silver body chain sitting on a silvery, glowing, glass or hologram horse with her long, flowing blond hair – all in front of a black backdrop.

Photographed by French visual storyteller Carlijn Jacobs, the image has already drawn comparisons to the famous 19th century John Collier painting Lady Godiva, which depicts a nude woman who figures prominently in Anglo-Saxon lore.

The famous 1977 photograph of jet-setting partygoer Bianca Jagger on horseback in Studio 54 at her 27th birthday party has also been mentioned.

Of the music, Beyoncé commented: “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving.”

“My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration,” she furthered on social media – where the image first surfaced. “I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”

Set for release on July 29, “Renaissance’' is Beyoncé's first solo studio album since 2016′s “Lemonade.”
