Beyoncé to Receive 2020 BET Humanitarian Award

Beyoncé has been announced as the the recipient of this year’s BET Humanitarian Award. She’s being recognized for her philanthropy work, including the “Formation Scholars” initiative, BeyGood4Burundi partnership with UNICEF, and most recently, BeyGOOD’s Black Business Fund. She will be honored with the award during this year’s ceremony, which is set to be televised on BET/CBS on Sunday, June 28 at 8 p.m. Eastern. Past recipients include Chance the Rapper and the late Nipsey Hussle.

The 20th annual BET Awards will also pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant and Little Richard. Lil Wayne will honor Kobe, while comedian Wayne Brady will honor Little Richard. Other performers expected for the broadcast include Alicia Keys, Black Thought, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, D Smoke, Jay Rock, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Nas, Usher, YG, and many more.
