A Tell-All Book

It's safe to say that Beyoncé and her father, Matthew Knowles, have a complicated relationship. He managed her career until she fired him in 2011, and there were rumors that the relationship was strained, mostly due to Knowles fathering two children outside of his marriage to Bey's mother, Tina.Beyoncé said this to Oprah about their relationship in 2013:

"It took a while for me and my dad to have an understanding. When I turned 18 and started handling my business more, he went into shock. And we had our issues. I’d say 'No' to something, and he’d book it anyway. Then I’d have to do it because I’d look bad [if I didn’t]. We would fight sometimes, and it took about two years, to when I was 20, for him to realize, 'Oh she is an adult now, and if she doesn’t wanna do something, I can’t make her do it.'"

While there are rumors that they have made up in the light of Knowles' cancer diagnosis, there hasn't been a public announcement of reconciliation.

Now, Knowles is publishing a tell-all book, Destiny's Child: The Untold Story, and it apparently has some shocking details.

A New Allegation

In an interview with VladTV about the contents of the book, Knowles claims that during the early days of Destiny's Child, Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland were harassed by members of the hip hop group Jagged Edge.

When the girls were just teenagers, Knowles decided to put them in the same tour bus as Jagged Edge.

"Now remember, the girls are minors. They’re 16 years old. The guys are 21, 22 years old. I have a fiduciary duty with minors, by the law. There’s a certain way I have to manage that. I got a call from Kelly and Beyoncé saying that they were constantly being harassed by two of the members in Jagged Edge. I couldn’t have that."

Inappropriate Behavior

Knowles did not explain if the harassment was explicitly sexual, but it was bad enough that he had to remove Jagged Edge from the tour.

"I literally had to put the guys off the bus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. That began all of this drama, and yes, I got an attorney calling me out of the blue to tell me I would be getting a certified letter to tell me that at this point, he was now on an interim basis managing LaTavia and LeToya."

How Do Beyoncé and Kelly Feel?

Jagged Edge's line up has always been Brandon and Brian Casey, Kyle Norman, and Richard Wingo, but Knowles did not go into detail over while man was the offender.

Beyoncé and Kelly haven't publicly commented on the allegations.
