Beyoncé and Jay-Z's youngest daughter, Rumi Carter, is following in her family's footsteps and leaving her mark on the music scene with her very first record-breaking entry on Billboard's coveted Hot 100 list.

As confirmed by Billboard itself, Rumi Carter is now officially the youngest female artist to ever chart on the Hot 100 list since its creation in 1958. She achieved the feat at exactly six years and nine months old thanks to her feature on "Protector," the fourth song on Beyoncé's new album Cowboy Carter, which claimed the #42 spot on the list dated April 13, 2024.

Rumi's record with "Prorector" is all the more impressive when you consider who previously held the title: none other than her older sister, Blue Ivy Carter. In 2019, Blue Ivy became the then-youngest female artist to enter the Hot 100 with "Brown Skin Girl" from The Lion King: The Gift.

That said, there's one record Rumi can't take from Blue Ivy as she is still the youngest ever credited artist to appear on any Billboard chart thanks to her feat on Jay-Z's "Glory" from 2012, less than 48 after her birth.

Though both of these are major records for the Carter girls, as we previously noted when North West also snagged her first entry on the Hot 100 list earlier this year, the youngest artist overall to enter the chat is still French singer Jordy, who achieved the feat at age five with the song "Dur dur d'être bébé! (It's Tough to Be a Baby!)".

Of course, Rumi is not the only member of the Carter family making music history with Cowboy Carter. Beyoncé has also scored a major first with the album, becoming the first Black woman ever to reach the main spot on the Top Country Albums chart, which was created in 1964.

As reported by Billboard, the Top Country Albums list is not the only one Cowboy Carter has officially topped. The album has also reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and the Americana/Folk Albums charts. The singer also placed 23 songs overall on this week's Hot 100 list, with three ("Texas Hold' Em," "II Most Wanted," and "Jolene") reaching the top 10.

What can we say? It's truly the Carter family's world, and we are all just living in it.
