First the stage … now the silver screen! Beyoncé and Blue Ivy are taking on the world together, and we are absolutely here for it! After crushing it on the Renaissance World Tour, the mother-daughter duo are taking their creative talents to the Disney recording studios where they’ll be voice acting alongside each other in the newest movie in the Lion King franchise: Mufasa: The Lion King. Beyoncé will once again voice Nala, and Blue Ivy will be the voice of a new character — fittingly, Simba and Nala’s daughter Kiara.

Talk about bringing a whole new meaning to “the circle of life!”

Blue Ivy won’t just be starring alongside her Grammy-winning mother. The Mufasa: The Lion King’s star-studded cast includes the likes of Donald Glover, Billy Eichner, and Seth Rogen. The film — which is set to premiere in late December — will also include new original songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda.

So yeah, you can expect us there on opening night.

And sure, there will be plenty of people rolling their eyes over the nepotism, but based on Blue Ivy’s Renaissance glow-up, we have no doubt she will work her butt off and prove she’s meant to be there.

Last year, the 12-year-old put all the internet haters in their place when she majorly stepped up her dance game. The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer revealed that the naysayers who said she was a bad dancer just made the tween want to work twice as hard.

Her improvement was quickly noticed by fans who shared the changes on TikTok.

“Watching her confidence grow throughout the tour has made me so proud! She’s improved so much🥹🥲,” one fan said.

We have no doubt there will be fans crying happy tears over Blue Ivy’s commitment to Kiara too.

Blue Ivy is big sister to 6-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, and last year, their dad Jay-Z said on CBS Mornings that he “still gets goosebumps” when he sees Blue Ivy walk on stage.

“She’s been born into a life she didn’t ask for. So since she was born, she’s been in scrutiny and the public eye and everyone having an opinion of even a little girl, how she keeps her hair,” the rapper said. “So for her to be on that stage and reclaim her power, and the song is called ‘My Power,’ you can’t write a better script.”

These celebrity kids want to follow in their parents’ footsteps.
