Beyoncé, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and More Demand Racial Justice in New PSA

Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars are demanding change. Alicia Keys teamed up with fellow celebs and the racial justice group We Are Here to speak up in a moving PSA titled “23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America” for Mic.com.

The 35-year-old Keys, along with Rihanna, Beyoncé, Queen Latifah, Pink, Adam Levine, Bono, Jennifer Hudson, and other celebrities recorded videos for the campaign, listing everyday incidents, from “riding in your girlfriend’s car with a child in the back” to “attending a birthday party,” that led to innocent black lives being taken.

“Go to WeAreHereMovement.com to tell President Obama and Congress that the time for change is now. We demand radical transformation to heal the long history of systemic racism so that all Americans have the equal right to live and to pursue happiness,” Keys says in the video, which was released just a week after the fatal shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and the mass shooting of 12 Dallas police officers.
