'Beverly Hills, 90210' And 'Carnivale' Actor Brian Turk Dies At Age 49

Actor Brian Turk lost his nearly two-year-long battle with brain cancer on Friday. He was 49 years old.

Turk was first diagnosed in early 2018. The family setup a GoFundMe page in July of this year to help pay for medical expenses and help support his wife and 8-year-old son.

Turk had dozens of acting credits to his name during his career that spanned over two decades. His first gig was as Spike on "Saved By the Bell: The New Class" in 1994.

Many fans of "Beverly Hills, 90210" will remember his role as Tiny on the show's sixth season in 1995.

Perhaps his most famous role was playing the strongman Gabriel in the HBO depression-era show "Carnivale." His final role was a small part as a guard on "NCIS: Los Angeles" in 2017.

On the GoFundMe page, the organizer wrote, in part, "Brian has impacted so many of us in a positive way whether it be on the football field, at Mater Dei or USC, on stage or in our personal lives. He has always been there for us in our times of need and celebration."

RIP.
