MINTY BETS: On Saturday, February 20th in Las Vegas, Nevada, we've got the WBC super featherweight title bout between current titleholder Miguel Berchelt, a minus-325 favorite, versus former featherweight champ Oscar Valdez, a plus-250 underdog. I'm here with Kevin Iole, and he's gonna break it down for us. Kevin, what do you think?
KEVIN IOLE: Well, what I think first of all is this is gonna be one of the fights of the year. This is going to be a sensational fight. Both of these guys are all action. They come forward. They meet in the center of the ring. You're gonna see a high volume of punches.
I like Berchelt here. Even though I don't like to lay 325, I think Berchelt is the better fighter, the more powerful fighter, and clearly the bigger guy.
They're friends. They both live in Hermosillo. They see each other around town a lot. They go to a lot of the same places. They've been talking about the fight.
But I think the next time they see each other in Hermosillo that Valdez is gonna be congratulating Berchelt on the championship. I like Berchelt to win this not only by getting a victory, but also by getting a stoppage late in the fight. So I will go with Miguel Berchelt by stoppage.
