‘Better Call Saul’ Creator Vince Gilligan and Actress Rhea Seehorn Will Reunite for New Series

Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, has cast a familiar face in his new show. The forthcoming series, which has yet to be titled, will see Gilligan once again join forces with Better Call Saul’s Rhea Seehorn.

Seehorn portrayed attorney Kim Wexler, appearing in nearly all of the show’s episodes across six seasons. The actress’ portrayal of Wexler went on to win her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series just earlier this year.

The project has already received a two-season straight-to-series order from Apple TV+, according to Deadline.

The publication compared Gilligan’s show to The Twilight Zone, describing it as “set in our world while putting a tweak on it, bending reality and focusing on people and exploring the human condition in an unexpected, surprising way.”

According to Deadline, the show went through multiple rounds of bidding and allegedly has a budget of $13.5 to 15 million USD per episode. Sony Pictures Television will serve as the studio for the project and Gilligan will also serve as an executive producer.

“After 15 years, I figured it was time to take a break from writing antiheroes… and who’s more heroic than the brilliant Rhea Seehorn?,” Gilligan told Deadline. “It’s long past time she had her own show, and I feel lucky to get to work on it with her.”
