When the going gets tough, the tough go skiing. Days after her ex-husband Jason Hoppy was arrested, Bethenny Frankel got out of New York City and enjoyed some time hitting the slopes. ICYMI, last Friday morning, Hoppy showed up at their 6-year-old daughter’s school and “tried to provoke a fight” with his ex-wife. According to a spokesman for the NYPD, the 46-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep threatened Frankel, saying, “I will destroy you, you can get all the lawyers you want, you’ve been warned.” Hours later, he was arrested and charged with harassment in the first degree and stalking in the fourth degree.

It seemed that Frankel was determined not to let this latest incident dampen her mood, however, and she took to Instagram to post a video from a ride over a snowcapped mountain. “Up up and away,” she captioned the clip.

She also shared a post showing that she hadn’t lost her appetite over the unfortunate encounter, though it wasn’t clear if the pizza was consumed in the city or on vacation. “I’m gonna give u a pizza my mind,” she promised. (The message was probably not intended for Hoppy.)

While the Skinnygirl mogul seemed to be keeping her spirits up, it was unclear whether Hoppy was doing the same. He was spotted near his Tribeca apartment on Tuesday afternoon clad in baggy sweatpants and a beanie and holding a towel over his face. In a statement, Hoppy’s attorney, Robert C. Gottlieb, denied any wrongdoing. He explained, “There are no words to express how saddened Mr. Hoppy is over his ex-wife’s unjustified actions. His only concern is his daughter and [he] intends to vigorously fight these false charges.”

Meanwhile, Frankel’s attorney, Barry Zone, issued his own statement arguing, “Ms. Frankel’s decision to report Mr. Hoppy’s abusive behavior followed years of systematic bullying, harassment, stalking and torment on an almost daily basis.” It went on to claim that Hoppy had “sent hundreds of escalating texts and emails” to his ex-wife, her assistant, and her boyfriend (yikes!), claiming that he would “never go away” and telling her he would “pray for her.” Frankel was granted an order of protection against Hoppy following his arrest.

The Real Housewives of New York City star and her former love famously tied the knot in 2010 on their spinoff show Bethenny Ever After, when Frankel was already pregnant with Bryn. The marriage spiraled downward and, after fighting it out for three years, their divorce was finalized in July 2016. From the look of things, though, the battle isn’t over yet.
