BET+ also secured a bevy of talented directors and writers of color for this year’s films, featuring Victoria Rowell, Robin Givens, Bree West, and Patricia Cuffie Jones.

A Wesley Christmas is the first film to be released on BET’s exclusive streaming platform.

The Patricia Cuffie Jones-directed movie follows three siblings, Chris, Todd, and Cydney Wesley, as they travel to their childhood home for Christmas with the entire Wesley family.

As the family reunites, all of their physical and emotional baggage arrives along with them, making for a messy dinner. The Wesley family holiday aims to be a “festive, hot mess of a Christmas” with life-altering moments that’ll change their family dynamic forever.

A Wesley Christmas features a screenplay by writer Bree West and production by Octet Productions.
