Here’s the Best- and Worst-Rated TV Show on Each Network After 1 Month (Photos)
We’re four weeks into the 2016-2017 fall television season, so what better time than now to point out a few winners and losers?
TheWrap has identified the top- and bottom-rated entertainment TV show on each of the five English-language broadcast networks to this point. That means we left out sports and news programming — otherwise, NFL coverage would have dominated at the top and magazine series would have had a heavy presence at the bottom.
All ratings in this post come from Nielsen’s “most current” data stream, which includes a week’s worth of delayed viewing where available. That means the shows that started right at the beginning of the season generally have a distinct advantage over those that just began.

There’s actually a two-way tie at the top between CBS’ hit sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” and Fox’s hip-hop soap opera, “Empire.”
On NBC, newbie “This Is Us” is actually beating out “The Voice,” currently. For ABC, it was “Modern Family” over “Grey’s Anatomy.”
The top show on CW is also a newcomer for that network.

CW is bringing up the rear with the “MADtv” experiment, which has been a clear failure among those aged 18-49, the key demographic for broadcast primetime, which is what we used.
