As an Italian-American, I'm pretty picky about pizza — but Tramonto's had me drooling.

Leanna "Lee" and Teddy Megaris opened the spot this summer and it has taken Ocean Township by storm. While they serve lots of wild pizzas, two captured my heart and stomach.

The Detroit Hot Honey 'Roni is loaded with crispy pepperoni cups, mozzarella cheese, ricotta, pecorino, basil and Mike's hot honey, all on a thick cheesy crust. The Tri-State Granny was perfect for my indecisive nature and love of thin crust, loaded with gooey cheese and three sauces: a sweet marinara, a herby pesto and a decadent vodka.

Teddy and Leanna remodeled everything in the restaurant, from the floorboards to the custom-built bar to the stenciled walls decked out with pop-art, movie posters and family photos.

Tramonto's is located next to Sunset Diner, which Teddy's family has owned for over 20 years.
