Best sports bars, restaurants in Palm Beach County for food, fun football watching
Football season is here and whether you love college, professional or both, if you're going out to a bar or restaurant to enjoy a gridiron smash-up in the company of fellow screaming fans, you have to do it right.
That means — for starters — multiple televisions, with screens so big that you feel like you're there and enough of them that your game (the game) will be on.
And don't forget the food and drinks. If all they've got is swill on tap, burgers that taste like hockey pucks or wings that look like they came off a humming bird, you for sure don't want to be there.

The official home of the Cleveland Browns Club of Palm Beach County, this Jupiter establishment gets an estimated 250 Browns fans every time the team plays. Situated across the street from Roger Dean Stadium, this place has almost three dozen 50- and 60-inch televisions as well as a 10-foot projection screen. Five of those televisions are in their outdoor seating area, perfect for those looking to soak up a bit of beautiful Florida atmosphere. Happy Hour is from 3 to 7 p.m. seven days a week and features both drink and food specials.

The Snuggery, Palm Beach Gardens
In business since 1976, this long-time neighborhood bar and restaurant has been owned by Bernie Kirchner since 1988. Kirchner played for the West Virginia Mountaineers in the 1970s, and his bar is the official home of the South Florida West Virginia Alumni chapter. If the Mountaineers are playing, they're on. For NFL games, Kircher says they have 20 televisions and most of the time they are split between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Dolphins.

Legends Tavern, Palm Beach Gardens
This Palm Beach Gardens restaurant boasts a dozen 55-inch televisions and shows college and NFL games on Saturday and Sunday as well as Monday and Thursday. Though they're not the "official" bar of any one school or professional team, the marketing director said the tavern gets a good mix of fans and possibly a few more Dolphins, Bills and Steelers fans than others. Drink specials are available all day, every day. And several specials coincide with football-watching days: half-off burgers on Mondays, beer and hot-dog discounts on Thursdays, and weekend bottomless cocktails.

Stormhouse Brewing, North Palm Beach
The North Palm Beach brewpub is an official University of Florida establishment and home base for the Palm Beach Gator Club. When the Gators are playing they'll have most of the televisions tuned in, but the manager says they'll take customers requests to watch another game. The pub has 15 60-inch televisions. Games and prizes are offered, as well as game-day food specials that change every weekend.

Brass Ring Pub, North Palm Beach
In business since 1986, this North Palm Beach establishment is home to some of the best burgers and wings in Palm Beach County. It boasts 25 televisions and though the pub is not an "official" Dolphins bar, when the 'Fins are playing that's who they support. Customers have a choice of some 11 beers on tap or more than 30 varieties in bottles. Sunday all day Happy Hour, Monday through Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Grease Burger Bar, West Palm Beach
This popular downtown spot is an official Florida State University bar and shows every FSU game. Grease shows other college football games when FSU is not playing. Games are shown on the establishment's 20 55-inch televisions.

Pig Beach BBQ, West Palm Beach
During football season this West Palm Beach barbecue spot offers $5 beers and $1 wings on Mondays, soft pretzels with beer cheese and brisket chili nachos every Saturday and Sunday. When it comes to TVs, hold on to your hats, they have 23, two of which are better measured in square footage. One is a whopping 12-by-7-feet, and then there is a monster 15-by-5-footer behind the bar. As far as Pig Beach allegiances, they rally around UM, FSU and UF and the Miami Dolphins.

Duffy's Sports Grill, all locations
Football season is here, and Duffy's sports-themed bars are ready to roll with a roomful of televisions and food and drink specials. Two new specials for this season are their loaded tots featuring golden-brown tots topped with cheddar-jack cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, sour cream and scallions; and the buffalo chicken tots which are golden-brown tots loaded with hand-breaded buffalo chicken breast-tossed in their original sauce, crumbled blue cheese and scallions. They are served with either buttermilk ranch or creamy blue cheese. These football season features are available for dine-in, curbside pickup and delivery.

With 60 or more televisions at all locations, Miller's is a popular sports bar offering every game on football days, with jersey-clad fans gathered in specific areas to root for their team. The restaurants offer daily drink specials for cocktails and beer, as well as food specials such as Zingers on Mondays, barbecue baby back ribs Monday and Tuesday, wings on Wednesdays and prime rib on Thursdays and Sundays, as well as other regular food specials.
