Best pizza in Tennessee? The Washington Post analyzed millions of Yelp reviews to find it
What's your pizza preference?
In Illinois, Yelp reviewers unsurprisingly prefer deep-dish Chicago pie, but that's also the case in Iowa. Most of the country – including Tennessee – prefers New York style, except for a few outliers. Wisconsin, for example, likes its Neapolitan-ish pie, just like Colorado. And honestly, who can blame them?
So go the somewhat fascinating, decidedly hunger-inducing, findings of the Washington Post writers who had the unenviable task of analyzing 7.5 million Yelp reviews of pizza. Those writers interpreted the data to see "which style reigns supreme by state."
Then, they drilled down even further to help pizza lovers find the best expression of each style near them.
This is clearly news you can use. Here's what they found for Tennessee.
