When Robert Downey Jr. won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 2024 Oscars, he made us swoon thanking one important person in his life: his wife, Susan Downey. “I’d like to thank my veterinarian, I mean my wife, Susan Downey,” the Oppenheimer star said in his speech. “She found me, a snarling rescue pet and you loved me back to life. That’s why I’m here.”
The pair, who have been together since meeting on the set of Gothika in 2003, have lived a love story for the ages. In addition to their two kids together, son Exton, 12, and daughter Avri, 9, the pair have also shared some unforgettable moments in awards shows, premieres, and major film festivals over the years. In every picture, while many of them include some actual PDA, the love and care they have for each other is evident.
