There have long been ticketed immersive experiences such as New York’s Harry Potter World or the more recent Bridgerton Ball that have allowed fans to experience content in a more innovative and hands-on way and of course, from a business perspective, helped grow behemoth, lucrative franchises. But aside from the underground dwellings of Tolkein’s Hobbits, a main tourist destination in New Zealand, many of these experiences are simply recreations of movie and T.V sets, not the real deal. And they only last a couple hours. In fact, the only time visitors were allowed to stay overnight at Hobbiton was through an Airbnb campaign offering a single 3-night stay.
However, over the last few years, Airbnb has begun quietly rolling out dozens of Airbnb listings that are set in the exact locations from many of the most famous films and T.V shows throughout the last few decades. And while some are unsurprisingly expensive (the Tuscan villa from Season 3 of “Succession” goes for $7,700/night), there are also plenty of exciting listings that are more reasonably priced (Harry Potter’s childhood home in England is $185/night and the gorgeous lakeside cabin where Tony Stark’s family lived in “Avengers: Endgame” is less than $1,000/night).

‘Succession’ Tuscan Villa
Even if you weren’t invited to Logan Roy’s wedding in the Italian countryside, the setting for one of the most climactic finales in television history, you still have a chance to stay in the decadent mansion rented by the Roy family. Of course, you might have to be the heir of a media empire in order to afford it…
Located in Sovicille, Siena, Italy, the Baroque masterpice is famed for its gardens (once praised by Edith Wharton) which spreads between a tennis court, pool and lounges nestled amid statues and lemon groves.
‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Lake Tahoe Mansion
Like all of the best housewives, Lisa Rinna prides herself on her high-profile real estate. So you know if you’re renting a stay at a place she herself has picked out, then you’re in for a good (and very luxurious) time.
Rinna booked this 17-bedroom South Lake Tahoe mansion for a group vacation in Season 11.
“The house that I booked for this trip is huge. It’s 17,000 square feet, ” Rinna said of the rental in an interview during the episode, noting that she and the ladies needed to get back to nature amid the Covid-19 pandemic. “It’s a good home,” she later told Garcelle Beauvais. “It’s gorgeous.”
The Bachelor Mansion
Any “Bachelor” fan knows every nook and cranny of this Malibu mansion, home to dozens of first impression roses, steamy makeouts, and many, many tears.
You don’t have to be vying for love in order to book a stay at the TV-famous abode, though. Villa de la Vina is the perfect place for a group getaway or honeymoon, nestled on a beautiful 10-acre property. The 200 year-old Mediterranean-style revival is known for its one-of-a-kind pool and romantic archways, with canyon, mountain and vineyard views.
Harry Potter’s Childhood Home
Don’t worry, you won’t be relegated to Harry’s closet underneath the staircase if you stay in his childhood home, also called Godrick’s Hollow in Levenham, England. It used to be a bed and breakfast, but is re-opening now as a temporary rental for all the rabid Harry Potter fans out there.
For $142/night, you can have access to TV/Wifi amenities, a full English breakfast and a gorgeous courtyard garden.
‘Twilight’ Swan House
Yes, you can book a stay in the very real and very charming 1930s home featured in “Twilight” as the home of Bella and her dad Charlie.
Dine in Charlie’s actual dining table; sleep in Bella’s bedroom; hang in the “lookout” room where, if you’re lucky, you might spot Edward’s car parked out the window. Team Jacob? Take a visit to his favored guest room, located off the main entry downstairs.
Shoshanna’s Tokyo Loft in ‘Girls’
Remember that absolutely wacky pad that Shoshanna stays in while finding herself in Tokyo? The one with a hammock in the kitchen and light switches on the floor, yes that one. Well, you can now a book a Airbnb stay at what the owners call a “living artwork.”
The two-bedroom home is located 35 minutes from the Tokyo station and is big enough to accommodate four guests for bigger groups.
‘Stranger Things’ Residential House
Travel to the Upside Down by booking an Airbnb stay at the real-life Byers home, resided in by Winona Ryder and her sons in the earlier seasons. The retro home is outfitted in the same ’70s and ’80s decor featured in the show, and a basement stocked with arcade games, air hockey, ping pong, a sectional couch and TV.
‘Avengers: Endgame’ Lakeside Cabin
This listing on Airbnb is the actual cabin in which Tony Stark’s family lived in “Avengers: Endgame.”
The beautiful cabin, located in Fairburn, Georgia, can house up to six guests and is the perfect river-side getaway for those looking to hike, fish, swim and even explore some other iconic movie sets in the area.
