According to a study by CompTIA, there will be approximately 178,000 new tech jobs in the U.S. in 2022. The Diversity Index score in tech is a 58, where the overall U.S. workforce is 56. The national median income of a tech worker is higher than the average, yet the gender pay gap still exists; women are making 84% of what men earn.

So where can women find good jobs in tech?! SmartAsset compared 59 U.S. cities to find the best places to work. Key findings included women’s standings in the tech workforce has not improved in the last 12 months. One of the most surprising findings, no California cities made the top 10.

Some of the most in-demand tech jobs are Data Analyst, Cloud Network Architect, Software Engineer, AI Engineer and Information Security Analyst. Salaries in these fields range from more than $75K to $150K.
