Cape Cod’s most enduring mystery: The Lady of the Dunes in Provincetown

The Lady of the Dunes was the biggest mystery on Cape Cod for almost 50 years. Found brutally murdered and mutilated on the remote dunes in Provincetown in 1974, the victim was finally identified last year as Ruth Marie Terry. Author Christopher Setterlund will talk about his book “Searching for The Lady Of The Dunes,” which uncovers the Wild West of a mess Provincetown was in during the 1960s and 1970s. The author's talk begins at 1 p.m. on Aug. 18, at Osterville Village Library, 43 Wianno Ave. Thanks to people who were living in Provincetown, this true crime thriller is mixed with a splash of historical fiction.

Come see the works of four theatrical artists in Orleans

The spotlight will shine on four artists whose works of art theatrically depart from the surface of traditional painting to enter the space of the audience themselves. With special attention to the classical revivals of Shakespeare and the Renaissance, these artists honor the dramatic. This public reception will be from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Aug. 12., at Ready Made Gallery, 11 Cove Road, Orleans. This Sea Stages exhibit is pleased to present the work of Sarah Dineen, Craig Drennen, Amber Mustafic, and Jim Peters. From figuration to formal abstraction, these artists bring drama through direct narratives of what painting could be when it breaks free from the wall. Honoring the Hoyt family at Cape Cod Coffee in Mashpee

Dick and Rick Hoyt's story is one of pure inspiration. Father Dick would push his son Rick, who had cerebral palsy, in a wheel chair for marathons and races. They completed hundreds of races, and are true staples for diversity, equity and inclusion. In anticipation for the ASICS Falmouth Road Race, Cape Cod Coffee has released a new flavor, Runner's Roast, described as mild with notes of caramel, toffee and chocolate. The coffee is $17 per bag and a portion of every purchase will go to the Hoyt Foundation to help America's disabled children. Visit capecodcoffee.com for more information.

A percentage of every "Runner's Roast," purchased from Cape Cod Coffee, will be donated to The Hoyt Foundation.
