In addition to the critically-acclaimed films and television shows nominated for the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards, there's another show-stopping element of the event that is impossible for us to take our eyes off of — the beauty looks.

While the nominees graced the carpet outside of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, we doled out our own awards for best beauty moments of the night.

Margot Robbie

Pretty in pink (and perhaps a nod to her upcoming film, Greta Gerwig's Barbie), is actress Margot Robbie wearing an intricately angular and subtly sequined Chanel gown, a look she paired with blush-pink glam and a touch of body makeup.

Makeup artist Patti Dubroff used Alleven Colour Shield in shade "Pearl" on the Babylon actress' skin ($80; neimanmarcus.com), spritzing it onto her arms shoulders, and back "to keep her skin more matte so the shine on the dress really stood out," Dubroff says in a press release. The finishing touch to Robbie's look was a mauve-pink lip, achieved with Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lip Colour in "Eternelle" ($45; chanel.com).

We may have become familiar with actress Jenna Ortega's Kubrick stare and berry lip thanks to the many hours spent watching Wednesday, but tonight the star departs from her character's grayscale palette with a taupe, Grecian-inspired gown and dramatic glam.

Her warm-toned eyeshadow was the foundation for the sharp double cat-eye liner look taking center stage. She rocked a swipe of white liner on her waterline and wore Twiggy-esque long, piece-y lower lashes, pulling together her look with a bronzed contour and nude lip. Ortega's makeup artist, Vincent Oquendo, said that the look was "channeling Sophia Loren" in an Instagram post after the ceremony.

For her hair, stylist David Stanwell wanted to let the haircut do most of the talking: "I love having the haircut make a statement, sculpting it around her face and playing with shapes that work," he said in a press release. To get tousled volume at the root, Stanwell applied Fekkai Root Lift Spray ($28; ulta.com) on her damp hair along with the brand's Super Strength+ Protein Power Bond Mist ($28; dermstore.com) before drying with a round brush and setting her hair in velcro rollers.

Ana de Armas

It's been quite the year for Blonde actress Ana de Armas, who is nominated for her portrayal of the iconic Marilyn Monroe. Celebrity hairstylist, Jenny Cho, used the Sol de Janeiro Milky Leave-in Conditioner ($28; sephora.com) to prepare the actress's hair, which she says was the "perfect prep spray to combat humidity" on this particularly rainy day.

She then crafted Armas' bombshell blowout with the internet-loved Dyson Supersonic hair dryer ($430; dyson.com) and smoothing nozzle attachment. The stylist shaped the volume in the star's hair with the Dyson Corrale straightener ($500; dyson.com) and then smoothed her locks with a small drop of the Sol de Janeiro Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil ($34; sephora.com) to "block out frizz-causing humidity."

Rihanna

Powerhouse singer, actress, entrepreneur and new mom Rihanna made her way to the Golden Globes tonight in a strapless Schiaparelli gown with a dramatic, trailing sleeve and glove combination that cascaded into a train behind the star. Her look was completed with the use of all Fenty Beauty products (as one does when you own a makeup empire).

Her longtime makeup artist Priscilla Ono had a clear vision in mind when it came to Rihanna's red-carpet look: "We wanted to create a clean, refreshed beauty look using all rose gold hues as a soft juxtaposition to the dramatic structure of her gown," she said in a press release.

Ono perfected the star's skin with the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation in shade 330 ($39; sephora.com) and dusted the Bomb Posse Mega Mix + Match Eyeshadow Palette ($33.50; fentybeauty.com) and Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in "Ginger Binge/Moscow Mule'' ($38; sephora.com) onto her lids to bring a rosy hue to her skin. "We kept the eye minimal and mixed different rose gold tones on her lips, cheeks, and body for an all-over sheen."

Michelle Williams

If Michelle Williams' otherworldly Gucci gown didn't stop you in your tracks, then her delicate glam and artfully swept-back locks did. The actress was a vision in Chanel for the 80th Golden Globes — her makeup artist, Angela Levin, stated that her inspiration for the actress was "a sparkly, beautiful Camellia flower."

Keeping the eyes and skin glistening, Levin started with the Chanel N°1 Rich Revitalizing Cream ($115; ulta.com) for a lit-from-within glow and later used the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eye Shadow Palette in "Light" for her eyes ($70; nordstrom.com). Sealing the lips was the Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in "Intemporelle," a warm and flattering nude ($45; chanel.com).

Anya Taylor Joy

Entering the scene in a flash of canary yellow was The Queen's Gambit actress Anya Taylor Joy, a Dior-clad vision as she walked the carpet for her nomination following The Menu. Her makeup artist Georgie Eisdell played off of her ab-baring two-piece with a nod to "'90s supermodel beauty" and a matte eye look. The pro used the Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette in #649 Nude Dress ($62; nordstrom.com) across the lids followed by Diorshow On Stage Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in #091 Matte Black ($62; nordstrom.com) and a few swipes of Diorshow Black Out Spectacular Volume Khôl Mascara in #099 Kohl Black ($29.50; nordstrom.com) for long, fluttery lashes to round out the look.

Daisy Edgar-Jones

Nominated for her second Golden Globe Award is Where the Crawdads Sing lead, Daisy Edgar-Jones, who wore a dramatic lace bustier dress decorated with sequins and cascading tiers of ruffles. Makeup artist Nina Park used a bevy of Chanel products to craft a look that was "modern, fresh and elegant to channel Daisy's essence," according to a press release.

Park's first move was to bring out the actress's inner glow with properly moisturized skin, which she says is "the most important step for makeup application." Edgar-Jones' skin was prepped with the Decorté Liposome Advanced Repair Serum ($75; skinstore.com) and sealed with the Liposome Advanced Repair Cream ($95; bloomingdales.com) to build a solid foundation for her red carpet glam.

The artist paired Edgar-Jones' vixen-like Gucci look with a clean base, sweeping the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Luminous Colour in "Light" ($58; nordstrom.com) for a radiant glow. She brought a bit of color to the actress's cheeks with the Chanel N°1 Lip and Cheek Balm in "Healthy Pink" ($45; chanel.com) and completed the look with a flushed-pink lip, courtesy of Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in "Intemporelle" ($45; chanel.com). We're renaming the "clean girl aesthetic" to the "Daisy aesthetic."

Heidi Klum

If there's anything that Heidi Klum knows how to do, it's bring the glamour anywhere she goes. To complement her lavender feathered and ultra-sequined minidress, the supermodel and former America's Got Talent host sported sultry, deep purple eyeshadow.

Luscious lashes, a nude lip and a soft pink blush to balanced her dramatic eye. Meanwhile, the model opted for a deep side part and loose side-swept curls that cascaded down her back so all eyes remained on her sequins and plume.

Laverne Cox

One of the first to step on the carpet was E! Live from the Red Carpet host Laverne Cox, who rocked a draped, royal blue gown and old Hollywood-inspired makeup.

The actress pumped up the drama of her ochre-brown smoky eye with smudged-out black eyeliner, while a warm red lipstick drew attention to her flawless complexion. She completed the beauty look with a curly bob accessorized with crystal-encrusted pins.

Viola Davis

Viola Davis is positively radiant in a royal blue gown and metallic emerald eyeliner — L'Oréal Paris Infallible Grip Precision Felt Waterproof Eyeliner in "Green" ($9.59; ulta.com) — traced along her lower lash line for an unexpected pop of color by makeup artist Sergio López-Rivera. The pro finished the look with a swipe of L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Intense Volume Matte Lipstick in the shade "Le Wood Nonchalant" ($14; ulta.com) so as not to compete with the rest of her color palette.

Jennifer Coolidge

As a nod to season 2 of White Lotus' dreamy Italian setting, hair stylist Janine Thompson channeled '50s Italian cinema sirens by creating voluminous, face-framing curls on Jennifer Coolidge, who won for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Limited Series.

To achieve Coolidge's high volume, she prepped the hair with Better Not Younger's Lift Me Up Hair Thickener ($37; better-notyounger.com) and No Remorse Heat Protection & Taming Spray ($33; better-notyounger.com) before putting her wet hair in large rollers and setting her under a dryer. The end result? A style fit for "fun-loving, free-spirited Italian beauties," says Thompson.

Makeup artist Lilly Keys kept Coolidge's makeup timeless with a warm smoky eye, created by blending together the Victoria Beckham Beauty Smoky Eye Bricks in "Signature" and "Silk" ($56, bergdorfgoodman.com). In a nod to the actress's longstanding friendship with Ariana Grande, Keys finished the look by adding r.e.m beauty's Dream Lashes ($16; ulta.com) for an extra dose of Hollywood glamour.

Lily James

Pam & Tommy nominee Lily James looked every bit the starlet from head-to-toe tonight.

Halley Brisker added fullness to James's do with Great Lengths Hair Extensions after prepping it with Olaplex No. 6 ($30; sephora.com) and No. 9 ($30; sephora.com). "The benefit of the Great Lengths system is that they are sandwich tapes and sit beautifully flat, creating a seamless and invisible effect," says Brisker in a press release.

Selena Gomez

Singer, actress and beauty brand founder Selena Gomez may be a multi-hyphenate, but this was her first time being nominated for a Golden Globe. She appeared on the carpet in a sea of Valentino velvet, which makeup artist Hung Vanngo tied into her glam for the glitzy night. Vanngo complemented her billowing plum sleeves with a dusty mauve eye, courtesy of Rare Beauty's Came To Play eyeshadow palette ($29; rarebeauty.com) and nude lip, created by the Kind Words Matte Lip Liner in the shade "Wise" ($15; sephora.com) and Kind Words Matte Lipstick in "Worthy" ($20; sephora.com).

To keep all eyes on the dress and glam, hairstylist Marissa Marino styled Gomez's hair with the Olivia Garden Titanium + Ion Curling Iron ($100; oliviagarden.com) and then swept her tresses back with the René Furterer Style Holding Gel ($27; amazon.com). She went on to zhuzh up the star's ponytail with a spritz of the René Furterer Style Finishing Spray ($34; amazon.com) and dusted her look with the Style Shine Mist ($34; amazon.com) for extra healthy-looking hair.

Her character Anna Delvey may have been a master at flying under the radar, but Julia Garner's grabbing everyone's attention with her platinum pixie cut and scallop-edged, pink Gucci gown. The Ozark actress's glowy skin could be attributed to the Augustinus Bader skincare applied by celebrity facial masseur Lord Gavin McLeod-Valentine (and a flush from her first Golden Globe award).

Her locks were styled by celebrity hairstylist Bobby Eliot who used the ghd Helios Professional Hair Dryer ($279; sephora.com) to dry her strands. Eliot then wheeled the ghd Platinum+ Styler flat iron ($279; amazon.com) to shape her sleek, angular bangs and spritzed her roots with the René Furterer Style Texture Spray ($34; dermstore.com) and Style Finishing Spray ($34; amazon.com) to give it some lift.

Michelle Yeoh

It was a big night for first-time nominee (and winner) Michelle Yeoh, but what we couldn't tear our eyes away from was her sleek, straight locks and dewy glow. Celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica prepped the Everything Everywhere All At Once actress with Better Not Younger's Lift Me Up Hair Thickener ($37; better-notyounger.com) and used the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer ($480; dyson.com) to manipulate her smooth strands.

Vetica went the extra mile for sleekness by adding the Better Not Younger No Remorse Heat Protection & Taming Spray ($33; better-notyounger.com) and High Hold Thickening Hairspray ($35; better-notyounger.com) to keep the style at bay all night long.

But that shine could be seen not only in her strands, but on her skin as well as she accepted her award onstage. Makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani brought out the actress's inner glow with Dior Beauty's Forever Skin Veil Primer ($48; sephora.com), layered with the Forever Foundation ($54; sephora.com) and spot-treated with the Forever Skin Correct Concealer ($40; sephora.com).

Letitia Wright

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever may have been one of the most recent blockbusters to hit the theaters, but Letitia Wright has been dominating red carpets for quite some time now. The actress wore a watercolor-esque Prada sheath dress and made healthy, glowing skin her main accessory.

Celebrity makeup artist Grace Pae used the CurrentBody Skin LED Eye Perfector ($249; currentbody.com) to diminish the appearance of dark circles, elasticity, fine lines, and puffiness, before going in with makeup on the actress (though Wright has a seemingly flawless complexion). "This quick step helps out so much even before the skin care prep or makeup application," Pae said in a press release. We don't think this LED mask is totally unlike a Black Panther mask, either.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain was a vision in crystals (and Charlotte Tilbury) as she graced the 80th Golden Globes carpet. The George & Tammy actress matched her captivatingly embellished gown with "Grace Kelly-inspired glam," as described by celebrity makeup artist Kristofer Buckle in a press release. He used Charlotte's Magic Cream ($100; charlottetilbury.com) on her skin and Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter ($48; sephora.com) on the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, shoulders, and collarbone for an ethereal glow.

Her eyes were accentuated by the Pillow Talk Instant Eye Palette ($75; charlottetilbury.com), from which Buckle used a "deep, red-brown shadow" along the actress's lash line to "emphasize her green eyes," extending past her lids like a winged eyeliner. Chastain's lips were then perfected with the famous Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk ($34; charlottetilbury.com).
