Bernie Sanders Charms on ‘Kimmel’
On Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, presidential candidate Bernie Sanders took a break from the campaign trail to get in a few laughs with the host. Kimmel was amazed by Sen. Sanders’ activities before filming. Kimmel said, “You have Secret Service protection and tonight you were out walking on Hollywood Blvd. just talking to people… Does the Secret Service hate when you do that?” Sanders laughed and replied, “Yes.”
The two went on to discuss many political issues. Noting Sanders’s serious image, Kimmel asked, “If you are elected president, will we still have the Easter egg roll? Would we still pardon the turkey on Thanksgiving?” Sanders joked, “Only if all of the children are very, very serious about that roll. No frivolity in my presidency. It’s all work, no pleasure.”
Kimmel then pointed out that Sanders does not have a super-PAC. So he gave him his own fanny pack instead.
