Bern Township church to hold food and faith night [Religion Digest]

Jan. 27----Epler's Church United Church of Christ, 1151 W. Leesport Road, Bern Township, is having a food and faith night on Friday. Food begins at 6 p.m., followed by faith at 7. Special music and piano accompaniment by Barb Kuhns. The theme is: "Extra! Extra!" Communion will also be part of faith night.

—The Reading Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Michael Slechta, will present a concert on Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township. The concert will feature songs from Disney to the classics. A free-will offering will be received. On Sunday, the 9:30 a.m. worship service will be followed by breakfast at 10:30 and the congregational meeting at 11:15.

—Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will hold Coffee and Conversation at 8:30 and 10 a.m. on Sunday in the Welcome Center.

—Dr. Steven Katzenmoyer, director of music at Calvary United Church of Christ, 640 Centre Ave., Reading, will present a program about how the organ works at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

—United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will hold a free family movie night today at 4 p.m. in Miller Fellowship Hall. Call the church office at 610-621-5770 for more information. A healing service will be held during worship on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Bible study will be offered on Tuesday at 9 a.m. by Zoom and on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in person or by Zoom. —The Rev. Dr. Tyson Frey will be the guest preacher at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. worship services on Sunday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood.

—Retired pastor the Rev. Robert Kramer will be lead the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township. Social time will follow the service.

—Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 170 Tuckerton Road, Muhlenberg Township, will hold a free community chili drive-thru meal today from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The church also is accepting orders for its "Spread the Love" cookies, $10 per pound/$6 per half-pound (similar to sugar cookies but heart shaped).
