Art

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St., will host its Second Sunday Studio Crawl on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The Artists of the Month are as follows:

Second Floor: Heidi Sensenig uses clay, acrylic, and watercolor as well as texture-building media to bring to life imagery and inspiration she finds in the world of daily living. Exploring both abstract and representational painting, Sensenig finds joy and insight by returning to her roots in ceramics. These various processes inform one another in unexpected ways.

Third Floor: Susan Biebuyck and Miles DeCoster. Biebuyck has been an artist all her life. She is known for her acrylic, oil, pastel and watercolor painting diversity. She calls herself "an art supply junky" and works in a variety of media with fluency. Her work demonstrates superb observation and lyrical spirit, and has won honors and awards. In addition to having a studio at the GoggleWorks, she is the gallery director and curator for exhibits at Studio B, a fine art gallery in Boyertown.

DeCoster is a painter, printmaker and media artist. He is a professor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Kutztown University, where he teaches interactive design. His work has been included in numerous exhibitions over the last 40 years and his artists' books are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Walker Art Center, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and other institutions.

----New Arts Program, Kutztown, is celebrating its 50th season with three retrospective exhibitions. The first, "The Early Years 1974-1981," opens Friday with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees will be treated to a free collectible catalog and limited edition works for sale.

The exhibit will feature works by John Cage, Philip Glass and 36 others from NAP's first seven seasons. It runs through Dec. 10.
