Nov. 8—Nov. 9 and 11

—Used book sale at Muhlenberg Community Library, Laureldale, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free book for veterans. Saturday special: $5 for a bag full of books.

Nov. 10-11:

—Basket raffle and holiday baked goods sale including pies and assorted Christmas cookies, St. Michael's Church, 529 St. Michael's Road, Tilden Township, Friday 4-8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-noon. Pickup pre-ordered pies.

—Berks County Sheep & Wool Growers Association wool pool Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Romano 4-H Center in Chester County and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Leesport Farmers Market. Bring wool in burlap bags or purchase a bag at the site. Separate black-faced sheep fleeces from white-faced sheep fleeces. Charge of $8 per farm.

Nov. 11:

—Christmas bazaar, St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Homemade food and baked goods, crafters, vendors, white elephant sale, books and toys.

—Christmas bazaar, Harmony United Methodist Church, 740 Harmony Road, Caernarvon Township, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Christmas crafts, baked goods, plants and raffle..

—Holiday bazaar, Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 251 Perkiomen Ave., Schwenksville, Montgomery County, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Hand crafted items, raffle baskets, baked goods and more. Lunch is available for purchase.

Nov. 12:

—Breakfast, Strausstown Fire Company, 50 E. Ave., Strausstown, 7:30-11:30 a.m. Full breakfast menu. Proceeds benefit the apparatus fund.

Nov. 13:

—Deadline to make reservations for the Tulpehocken Territory 300th anniversary celebration "Gathering of Descendants and Friends of the Early Settlers," Mount Aetna Fire Company, 105 W. Tanner St., Tulpehocken Township. The banquet will be held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 2. The cost for the event is $25 for adults (ages 6-12 $10, under 6 free). Nov. 14:

—Wyomissing Area Garden Club program, Wyomissing Library, 9 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, 1 p.m. The floral design program given by Tracy Sabocheck is entitled "Fill Your Boots." —Berks County Genealogical Society meeting at the society's library on the fourth floor of the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St., Reading, 6:30 p.m. Laurel Miller, society librarian will be speaking on the Moravians. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Nov. 17-18:

—St. Joseph's Church Christmas Bazaar, rummage sale and flea market, 1018 N. Eighth St., Reading. Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Homemade foods and desserts will be available.

Nov. 18:

—Holiday bazaar, bake sale, basket raffle and flea market, Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Washington Township, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

—Candlelight guided evening tours, Conrad Weiser Homestead, 30 Weiser Lane, Heidelberg Township, 5:30-8 p.m., last tour starts at 7:30. Experience the times of Conrad Weiser, ask questions at a tavern scene or talk to Weiser's friends staying on the property. Enjoy the soft candlelight as tour guides take you to each station. After the tour, visitors can browse through the site's bookstore in the Visitor Center, located in the 1834 Scheetz House adjacent to the Weiser house. Donations are appreciated. —Gov. Mifflin Music Association holiday craft show, Gov. Mifflin Middle School, 10 S. Waverly St., Shillington, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Handmade items for sale include wood carvings, ornaments, jewelry, clothing and much more. Food, drinks and baked goods will be available for purchase. No admission fee.

—Christmas bazaar and cookie sale, Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Greenwich Township, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. Basket raffles, Christmas flea market, vendors,

food available for purchase. Santa will be there from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Nov. 20:

—Berks Photographic Society meeting, GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St., Reading, Suite 326, 7 p.m. Tony Bramley of Essex, England, will do a hybrid Zoom presentation titled "Composition: The Principles & Elements of Art in Photography." We will learn how interesting the content of our images can be and that there were never any rules in composition. This will be a paid event for non-members with a $10 donation. At checkout, specify "Tony Bramley — November 20" in the order box. Once BPS receives your donation, your pass will be emailed to you.

Nov. 22:

Nov. 27

—Leesport Area Historical Society Program, 7 p.m., Bethany EC Church, 308 Main St. Mike Jesberger will present a program on the customs and traditions of Christmas in the midst of the challenges of the tragic Civil War. Christmas served as an escape but also a reminder of our divided country and separation from loved ones. Parking in rear.

Dec. 1-2:

—Friends of Exeter Library holiday sale, 4569 Prestwick Drive, Exeter Township, Friday 1-4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wreaths, holiday decor and homemade cookies by the pound.

Dec. 2:

—Christmas bazaar, St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 47 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Christmas mice, cookies, crafts, books, puzzles, white elephant, eat in and take out food.

—Spring Valley Boutique, Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Muhlenberg Township, 10-11:30 a.m. Most items are free. Featured items vary by month (depending on donations) but frequently include clothing for women, men and children, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc. Anyone looking to donate used items to this ministry can do so during boutique hours.

Dec. 3:

—One by One Cat Shelter holiday open house, 1984 Mount Laurel Road, Alsace Township, noon-4 p.m. Meet adoptable cats and kittens. There will be light refreshments, raffles and vendors. Donations of canned Fancy Feast, canned Friskies, dish detergent, copy paper, Purina ProPlan Adult or Kitten Chicken and Rice (non shredded) appreciated.

Jan. 6:
