‘Bering Sea Gold’ Stars Have Record Payday

On the Season 6 finale of Bering Sea Gold, the Pomrenke family had a record payday. The father-son-run gold mining company managed to accumulate 2,102.5 ounces of gold from a single claim in just five weeks. The gross from the single claim was more than $2.5 million.

They managed to amass an additional $600,000 worth of gold from their other claims. After seeing all the gold placed in jars, the son, Shawn, said, “I’ve never seen that much gold all at one time. It’s pretty impressive.”

Steve, the father, used more colorful language to express his excitement over the haul, saying, “Now if someone can beat that, they can kiss my butt.”

The small group of miners celebrated their big jackpot by drinking Dom Pérignon champagne — although Steve would’ve probably preferred a beer, because after tasting the expensive champagne, he exclaimed, “This stuff tastes like s***!”
