Berghain Cancels Events Through the Spring Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

The famous Berlin nightclub Berghain has canceled all forthcoming “self-produced” events through April 20 due to public health concerns surrounding the spread of coronavirus, according to its website. The club’s official note reads, “On occasion of the current health situation and in the best health interest of our staff, artists and guests, all previously announced self-produced club events in Berghain, Panorama Bar and Säule are being discontinued as a precaution until April 20, 2020.” The cancellations follow an imposed ban from the Berlin government prohibiting large events and gatherings of 1,000 or more people until the end of the Easter holidays.
