Bergen Food & Wine Festival returns this weekend with 32 vendors and area's finest cuisine
The Bergen County Food & Wine Festival is returning to Paramus this year, with 32 vendors that promise to provide the best spirits and cuisine that the county has to offer.
The event will kick off on Sunday at noon in the parking lot of Westfield Garden State Plaza, where dozens of restaurants from around the county will serve up offerings of both local and international fare. The event will also feature a DJ, dancing, cornhole toss, contests and more.
The festival was originally scheduled to begin with a “Salute to Summer Lobster Broil” on Thursday, which had promised a lobster dinner with live music, a cornhole tournament and a cash bar. However, that event was canceled due to weather and other factors, said Brandon Goldstein, an ambassador for the 200 Club, which hosts the event.
Proceeds from the festival benefit the 200 Club, which supports families of law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel injured or lost in the line of duty. The funds will go toward lifesaving equipment and support for families of first responders who are casualties in the line of duty, including scholarship opportunities, Goldstein said.
The festival will run on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m on the western side of the mall’s parking lot. The location will be tented, and parking in the area will be free.
A general entry ticket, which costs $75, will include all food and drink samplings, including alcohol. Visitors must be 21 and older to attend.
A VIP ticket, which costs $145, includes access to a VIP tent with lounge seating, exclusive restaurants and premium wines. All sales are final, and the event will take place rain or shine.
