Soon, Benny The Butcher will unveil his Def Jam Records debut, Everybody Can’t Go. Today (Nov. 3), Elliott Wilson and Brian “B.Dot” Miller shared an interview with the Griselda emcee for their “Rap Radar Podcast,” where he broke down the meaning behind the forthcoming album.

“Everybody can’t go because they’re not cut like that. They’re not made like that,” the Buffalo talent explained. “And you can’t dance to every song. Everything is not for everybody. With new levels come new devils, and I want different. I want more, I want bigger for myself.”

Benny continued, “This is the second cut. When you make that first cut where you clearly see, ‘These people are not for me. They don’t need to be here.’ So, the people who made that, who got past that cut, they think they safe! Nah, you’re not safe.”

He also spoke on Everybody Can’t Go‘s lead single, “Big Dog,” which features Lil Wayne. “I always felt like I was an underdog. Y’all know sometimes I beat it in the ground, but a n**ga [is] a big dog now,” he said about the A-list collaboration, which was produced by The Alchemist. “Just the way the beat sounded, it’s so melodic… Wayne is true to his word. He said, ‘Anytime I need him.’ Shout out Mack Maine and shout out everybody over there. But anytime I needed bro, he came through for me.” Benny then confirmed that he will be on Wayne and 2 Chainz’s long-awaited LP, Welcome 2 Collegrove.

Back in 2022, Benny dropped the fourth installment of his Tana Talk series, which consisted of 12 songs and additional features from J. Cole, Boldy James, Diddy, Conway The Machine, 38 Spesh, and Westside Gunn. Months after that release, he and his Black Soprano Family collective liberated the well-received compilation Long Live DJ Shay.
