Forget about the NFL playoffs. Two Cincinnati Bengals players are making a run for acting instead.

Defensive ends Sam Hubbard and Trey Hendrickson are the stars of a new advertisement for two Cincinnati-based companies: Bounty, a paper towel brand manufactured by Procter & Gamble, and Kroger. Hubbard and Hendrickson posted the promotional video to Instagram on Wednesday, Jan. 3.

In the ad, the athletes talked about how you can't watch the NFL playoffs or the upcoming 2024 Super Bowl without chicken wings. And, of course, you can't eat wings without Bounty paper towels because, according to the Bengals stars, "Bounty is your wingman."

While enjoying a plate of buffalo wings, the Bengals players also discussed their individual strengths and weaknesses on the field and their bond as teammates.

"Sam, even though you're my wingman, I think it's just incredible how you play the run," Hendrickson states.

"I love playing the run. He's the sack guy," Hubbard responds. "Whatever I'm good at, he's bad at. Whatever he's good at, I'm bad at."

Following a brief discussion on who could eat the most wings, the commercial ends with Hubbard, a Queen City native, stating what he loves most about Kroger.

"It's a Cincinnati-based company. And their passion for giving back to the community is really strong," he explains.

Hendrickson was selected to the Pro Bowl on Wednesday night, along with Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase.

This is the third year in a row Hendrickson and Chase have earned Pro Bowl nods, Bengals beat writer Kelsey Conway reports. Hendrickson is also tied with Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt for the most sacks in the NFL this season with 17.

Hubbard had four sacks and eight quarterback hits before he suffered an ankle injury in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills. Since then, Hubbard has recorded one sack and three quarterback hits with the team. Hubbard plans to have surgery in the offseason.

The Cincinnati Bengals play their final game of the regular season against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at Paycor Stadium.
