Watch below: Ben Shephard questions Prince Harry's military uniform funeral ban
Ben Shephard has criticised Prince Harry allegedly being banned from wearing his military uniform at the Queen's funeral next week.
Recent reports have claimed that Harry will not be allowed to wear his armed forces uniform though an exception has been made for his uncle Prince Andrew.
On the 13 September edition of Good Morning Britain, host Shephard criticised the move, saying: "So he’s been given dispensation specifically for the funeral itself, whereas Prince Harry’s been told in theory he has to be in a suit."
He continued: "I feel like so far, everything has been so extraordinary to watch, and it’s been pitch perfect and bang in step with what we would all hope it to look like."

The experienced broadcaster concluded by saying: "It feels like this might be the first misstep from the public’s perspective that Harry wouldn’t be allowed to wear his uniform but Prince Andrew will be."
Earlier this year, Prince Andrew reached an out of court settlement with Virginia Guiffre who accused the Queen's son of sexually abusing her when she was a child after being trafficked by Andrew's friend and convicted paedeophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew has always regimently denied the allegations and did not admit any liability in the settlement which is thought to be in the many millions.
Due to his relationship with Epstein and the accusations, Andrew was forced to resign from all of his public roles in 2020 and his honorary military titles were returned to the Queen at the beginning of the year.
Andrew, who served in the Royal Navy during the Falklands War, was heckled in Edinburgh yesterday during the royal procession with the alleged heckler later charged by Police Scotland.
