Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin: A Timeline of Their Relationship

Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin became real-life loves after meeting on the set of Gotham in 2014.

Before she struck up a relationship with the O.C. alum, Baccarin married director Austin Chick in November 2011, welcoming son Julius two years later. Chick filed for divorce from the actress in June 2015.

Before Baccarin's divorce was finalized, she and McKenzie's reps confirmed to Us Weekly in September 2015 that the pair were expecting their first child together, confirming their romance at the same time.

Baccarin gave birth to her and McKenzie’s first child, daughter Frances, in March 2016. Eight months later, Us confirmed the couple’s engagement, and they secretly wed in June 2017. The twosome further expanded their family in March 2021 with the birth of son Arthur.
