Ben Affleck's Alleged Stance on Jennifer Garner's Boyfriend Speaks Volumes About Their Relationship

Ben Affleck’s friendship with Jennifer Garner’s boyfriend John Miller is just as healthy as his bond with his ex, according to sources.

After a highly-publicized divorce in 2015, Affleck and Garner seem to have done an excellent job at prioritizing their friendship in order to successfully co-parent their three children. Now, even with new partners in the mix, their co-parenting relationship and blended families seem to be thriving.

Affleck and Garner have shared public praise for one another many times since their split but, behind the scenes, Affleck is also reportedly in Miller’s corner.

“Ben is super down-to-earth, and so is John,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They have a mutual respect for each other and are always very friendly with one another.”

After ending her 10 year marriage with the Air director, Garner began dating Miller in 2018. Miller is the CEO of Caliburger and a father to two children from his first marriage. Garner and Affleck share daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14, and son Samuel, 11. Since marrying Jennifer Lopez in 2022, Affleck has also become a stepfather to her twins Max and Emme, 15.

The source says that the two couples “are all mature” and have worked hard to make “their children the focus of those relationships.” Over the years, Affleck and Miller reportedly developed “a lot of mutual admiration and respect,” a second source told Us Weekly.

Though recent rumors have hinted that Affleck’s ex and his new wife have differing views on some aspects of his life, sources say Lopez and Garner have worked to remain on good terms. The stars have formed a friendship since Affleck and the Get Loud singer rekindled their romance in 2021. “Over the past year or two, they’ve definitely become close and have gotten to know each other much better,” an insider told Us  in May. “Both of them are incredible mothers and always put their children’s needs first.”
