Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez Are Reportedly Battling a Relatable Hurdle That Has Nothing To Do With Jennifer Garner

The many reports floating around about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s alleged relationship problems may all boil down to one simple thing that anyone who has ever been in a long-term relationship can relate to.
Over the past number of weeks, sources have been speculating that the couple are at odds over Affleck’s close relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children, Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11.

Affleck, 51, was photographed hugging and spending time with Garner, 51, and their kids prompting sources to quickly claim that Lopez, 54, was less than impressed with the cordial display. However, while insiders still insist Affleck and Garner’s friendship is causing issues in his marriage, an In Touch source just revealed that Affleck and Lopez are going through a transition phase that all couples experience at one time or another.
“The honeymoon phase is over,” a source close to the couple told In Touch. “Of course, they’re still madly in love, but they’re under a lot of pressure with work obligations, being in the spotlight and blending their families.”

That said, the source did still insist that the “Jenny From The Block” singer is struggling to see her husband be so close with his ex.

“Ben and Jen are extremely close,” said the source, referring to Affleck and the 13 Going On 30 actress. “In fact, there have been a lot of photos of them together lately where Ben looks so happy, happier than he usually looks when he’s with J. Lo. That’s not lost on J. Lo. She doesn’t think Ben wants Jen back — J. Lo even likes Jen very much — but what woman wouldn’t be a little jealous?”
Despite the alleged tension between the couple, other sources have offered a conflicting account that suggest Lopez is more than happy to see Affleck and Garner getting along.
“One of the things that made [Garner] and [Affleck] get to a better place was – and is – JLO,” a separated source close to the “Get Loud” singer shared last week. “Ben is healthy. The drama of the past and the emotions of divorce are long gone and they are all making it work.”
