Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Spend Fourth of July with Their Kids

Will They Divorce? Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Are 'Still Figuring Things Out' a Year after Split, Source Says

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are celebrating Fourth of July as a family.

The pair, who announced their split in June 2015, were spotted at the 68th Annual Fourth of July Parade in Pacific Palisades, California on Monday. Affleck, 43, and Garner, 44, spent quality family time with two of their three children, Violet, 10, and Seraphina, 7.

“[Ben] and [Jennifer] were sitting together watching the parade. They were not being affectionate,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE. “Ben and Violet were holding hands, and Ben was smiling watching the parade and walking around the community.”

June 30 marked one year since Affleck and Garner announced they were separating after 10 years of marriage.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple told PEOPLE in a joint statement a year ago. “We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

The parents of three have yet to file divorce papers.

“Ben still doesn’t want the divorce,” a source previously told PEOPLE. However, Garner “doesn’t seem to mind at all that [the divorce] is not finalized,” but “she seems adamant about going through with it.”

Another source close to the couple told PEOPLE recently that “nothing has changed” in the relationship: “They’re still all about putting the kids first.”
