Ben Affleck's latest Dunkin' commercial

Ben Affleck is subtly nodding to his past in his latest Dunkin' commercial!

The actor, 51, is on a quest to become a pop star similar to his wife Jennifer Lopez in the minute-long spot, titled "Dunkin’ ‘Popstar’ ft. Ben Affleck & Charli D’Amelio."

In the commercial, Affleck consults with stylists and music producers. He then pretends to phone his wife Lopez, 54, and asks in a thick Boston accent what she thinks about him using the stage name "BLo."

While he's getting choreography tips from dancer and TikTok star Charli D’Amelio at about the 40-second mark of the commercial, eagle-eyed viewers will spot a paparazzi photo of Affleck framed in gold in his fake living room next to images of Lopez.

In the framed photo, the Jersey Girl star is wearing a blue jacket balancing a cup of Dunkin' coffee with what appear to be boxes of Dunkin' donuts.

While it's not an exact copy of the famous 2021 photo of Affleck balancing a a Dunkin' coffee on top of a stack of mail, it's close.

After the paparazzi photos of Affleck went viral, he became an official brand ambassador for Dunkin' after starring in his first commercial for the coffee and donut franchise during the Super Bowl in 2023.

The easter egg undeniably fits in the ad, in which the Boston native also poked fun at the "Sad Affleck" memes that popped up on social media after Affleck accompanied Lopez to the Grammys in 2023 and remained expressionless the whole night.

The latest ad isn't the end of the Air star's journey. At the end of the commercial, he warned people "underestimate Boston...at your peril." He also plugged Lopez's upcoming album, standing outside wearing a donut necklace and saying, "This is me, now," which is the title of her project.
