Ben Affleck Hid His Ring Finger From Paparazzi Amid Jennifer Lopez Divorce Rumors

He's onto us.

Ben Affleck appears to be growing tired of people clocking every time he has his wedding ring on or not—so much so, that he is now playing games with the paparazzi.

While picking up his son, Samuel, from school on Thursday, Affleck was spotted by the paparazzi, who have been keeping heavy tabs on when his wedding band makes an appearance amid the rumors of him and Jennifer Lopez headed towards divorce. And instead of giving photographers bait, the actor concealed his left hand and arm altogether with a bright blue sweater as a way to shut down some of the speculation.

Affleck outwitting the paparazzi—at least this time—comes on the heels of Lopez being asked point blank by a fan what the status of her and her husband's relationship is while speaking during a press conference in Mexico for her new Netflix movie, Atlas. She didn't take the bait either, giving the person a stern and disapproving look before telling them "You know better than that."

Throughout Lopez's Atlas press run, her wedding band has stayed firmly in place, with her wearing it to both the Los Angeles and Mexico premieres of the movie. Affleck has had his off and on in recent weeks while on the set of The Accountant 2 and running errands around L.A.

A People source revealed on May 22 that Bennifer's marriage “is not in the best place at the moment” due to how they both handle media attention. Lopez is living in their $60 million Beverly Hills home at the moment, while Affleck is renting a property a few miles away. “She likes to open her heart to her fans and to the world,” a source told the outlet. “He is more introspective and private. This has been difficult day-to-day.”
