On Wednesday, Ben Affleck stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” where he addressed the controversy surrounding comments he made about his ex-wife and co-parent Jennifer Garner during an interview on “The Howard Stern Show.”

“Like, that's not true,” Affleck said. “I don't believe that, it's the exact opposite of who I am, what I believe. And I would never want my kids to think I would ever say a bad word about their mom.”

This really upsets you?” Kimmel asked.

“It hurts my feelings,” Affleck replied.

Over the years Affleck has had a turbulent relationship with tabloids, particularly regarding his relationships with Garner and on-again off-again girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. However, he made it abundantly clear that he will not tolerate the media negatively impacting his kids.

“Look, I know people do this,” Affleck said. “I get it. I'm happy to be “Sad Batman,” “Dunkin' Donuts” and the meme…Really, it's about my kids, I just got to draw a line.”

KYLIE MAR: Over the years, Affleck has had a tumultuous relationship with tabloids, particularly regarding his relationships with Garner and on again, off again girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. But he will not tolerate the media negatively impacting his kids.

BEN AFFLECK: Look, I know people do this. I get it. Me, I'm happy to be sad Batman. I'm happy to be Dunkin' Donuts in the meme. I understand you have to get married to Jimmy Kimmel sometimes. Really like, if it's about my kids, I got to just draw a line.

KYLIE MAR: Despite the negative press, Affleck really enjoyed his Howard Stern interview. But just to be safe, Kimmel suggested he stick to his show.

JIMMY KIMMEL: Sorry you had to deal with that stuff. Just stop giving interviews. Only come here. We never talk about anything interesting.

BEN AFFLECK: Listen, don't tempt me. Yeah.
