The reality star reportedly paid $1.6 million for her Nocatee home that remains unfinished.

Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy Yawn claims that the developers of her unfinished home in Nocatee, Florida, have gone “MIA with all of our money.”

The Bravo reality star, 58, told local outlet First Coast News that she and her fiancée Leah Shafer, 50, invested all of their money — a reported total of $1.6 million dollars — into building a home at The Vista at Twenty Mile in St. Johns County. Now, they claim that the builder has disappeared with their funds without completing the project.

"We dipped into our bank account and used every penny we had, and this is our finished product," Yawn said in an interview, gesturing back toward her home which remained visibly unfinished.

According to the Jacksonville Daily Record, Yawn purchased the home on Jan. 26 for $1.6 million from The Pineapple Corporation of Jacksonville Inc. However, First Coast News reported that the company is not on Nocatee’s current list of developers, and that other residents claim they have not seen them on site in a year.

The company did not respond to EW's multiple requests for comment. However, in a statement to First Coast News, its president Spencer Calvert said, “Pineapple Corporation is in communication with all parties involved to find an amiable solution. We do not disclose details of private negotiations.”

As a result, Yawn explained that she has been forced to hire additional work crews to complete the home, and estimates it may cost the couple an additional $800,000 in order to make it fully functional.

"We worked really, really hard to pay for this house in cash. And it's gone. Like, it’s gone,” Shafer added. “And so now we’re having to basically pay for this house twice."

Yawn has been a mainstay on Below Deck Mediterranean since 2017, where she has helmed several superyachts over the years.
